Me: So you are saying you are not patriotic.
He : People on borders are ready to give their life for country .Would you be ready to do the same for your country ?
Me : can't say would all depend on situation ,I am not sure
He :I think under most circumstances I would not be ready to give my life...for our country..or kill someone else .Don't get me wrong..I do love our country .
Now just think ,what if everybody thought just like me ,what if every person on earth thought like me on this matter.
Wat if nobody was ready to give their life for their country ( or religion )
Me : Interesting though there are many ways it could go ,like it could push us towards using more advanced technologies for war,say robots or more increase of automated weapons and missiles.But I think primary and most immediate effect would be it would reduce border wars.Things would be more diplomatic.Less wars it does seem that way.
He: That's my whole point.Things are not always good or bad most of the time they are grey .
Just because everyone says you have to be patriotic,being patriotic is good or they are heroes isn't always right.So I can truly say I am not patriotic and proud to not be a one.In fact I am making a sacrifice for greater good of human beings.
Me: hmm..err hmmmmmmm
